Will he be able to capitalise on recent success?

Whether he wins the Oscar or not, there's no doubt he's done very well for himself this year to get his name out there.

Do you think he will finally be able to capitalise on this or will he retract back like he did last time after his Oscar nom for Jesse James?

It sounded like the last time he wasn't really getting the offers that you would expect someone would get after an Oscar nom. (That and combined with him doing I'm still here) Would it be different this time around?

I don't think so tbh, he had a huge 2007 and could've been a huge star but he decided to follow that up with I'm Still Here. And he's going to follow up his Oscar nom/win? with directing again, you've to strike while the iron's hot.
