Zemeckis and HISTORY Team Up for UFO Drama Series
I heard about this project a little while back.
As someone who has an interest in Ufology and who has read up a bit on the real-life Project Blue Book, as well as someone who thinks Robert Zemeckis is an underrated filmmaker, I am looking forward to this.
The trailers look like the story has been clearly dramatized and probably isn't sticking too close to the facts--would a documentary have been better?--but that's cool as long as the show is entertaining.
PrimeMinisterX-I posted this a very long time ago 2 years ago this week, And now you replied 3 days ago lol
Anyway after all this time so glad that back in July we finally got a trailer for it, As far as I know it is sticking to the facts
What other TV shows or mini series do you like?
Well better late than never, I guess! It's a shame Zemeckis's board here only has two threads, and no replies to either one until I replied to yours. He deserves more attention than that.
I would not expect historical accuracy. History's other shows, like Vikings and Sons of Liberty, stray away from the accepted historical narrative quite a bit. I expect the same from Project Blue Book. But as I said, as long as it's entertaining I'm good.
As for other shows I like, well here's a random selection: Game of Thrones, Halt and Catch Fire, Yellowstone, Stranger Things, This Is Us, The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel, The Last Tycoon.
Yea I don't know why that is, I mean he is very well known + when I was on IMDB he had hundreds of posts
I think there will be as it is a very well known case, However I do think they will add things in this series that didn't happen as well
Good to very good selection there-I watch all of those, I would type out all the TV shows I like but would take me hours to name all of them and it is very late here as well so going to bed soon !
But apart from the ones you said, I also like + really like: Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Agents of Shield, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, The Punisher, Travelers, Dark, The O.A, Altered Carbon, Outlander, Ray Donovan, Homeland, The Americans, Lucifer, The Haunting of Hill House, Ozark, Black Mirror, etc etc etc
I never did get into any of superhero TV shows. I think all the movies are enough superhero stuff for me. That's all I can handle.
The OA is an interesting show. The team behind that one (Zal Batmanglij and Brit Marling) made a very interesting film about 10 years ago called Sound of My Voice. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out. They actually recycled some of the themes of that film for The OA.
