Okay, I'm done mulling it over now (not to mention I am stuffed to the proverbial gills with some yummy Mediterranean focaccia bread and olive oil.) So, one, I am going to agree with you that another Oldman/Wincott pairing would be quite delightful. I would totally love to see something along the lines of a comical or absurd "buddy-buddy" film with those two in it on some random adventure. My first Oldman film was the on-screen adaption of Stoppard's "Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead" and the juxtaposition of him and Roth was rather hilarious.
As for other actors, I'd put Pacino, Nicholson, Hopkins, Spacey, Byrne Washington and Hopper on my list as you have to have a substantial presence on the other side or our Mr. Wincott will totally over-shadow them. Even another pairing with Rickman would be fun to watch as they did rather steal the show in Robin Hood.
I've also been mulling over a female actor for him to pair against but I haven't found someone I like enough. I think she needs to have a strong personality to handle the likes of him. I could see someone like Angelina Jolie but she rather gets on my last nerve. I apologize to any Jolie fans out there but it's the truth.
And, I know I will probably be burnt at the stake for saying this if Mr. Wincott ever found out, but I would be totally riveted to my telly if he ever took on the role as a serial killer like Lithgow recently did on the show Dexter. I know television is beneath him but there are some pretty decent shows on cable these days in my opinion. (Uh, is it getting hot in here??)
