Smokers voice?

Unfortunately, its from years of smoking but sexy non the less. I'm not promoting smoking or anything but it has helped him and others with their voices.

For example, Al Pacino. I love him as an actor, but his voice when he was younger didn't appeal to me. It got better over time and years of smoking. LOL.

Yes, his voice is from smoking. I'm watching an episode of Littlest Hobo which guest stars MW (in his 20's) and his voice is nothing like it is now. It's actually a surprise to hear him have a high, teenager-ish voice.

Yes, but his natural speaking voice is not as deep or raspy. It's rather pleasant.
Most actors adjust their vocal tones and intonations for roles depending on the character and what's going on with them.
Jeremy in "What Just Happened" had not only "spot on" cockney, but a slightly lighter lilt than Michael's character, He, in "The Farewell."
The situation and personality inspire the sound. Just another subtle talent that sets Michael above others in his line of work.

He absolutely nails his vocal performance as Death, in the video game Darksiders II. Makes the game, if you ask me, and is a perfect fit for the character. :)

I didn't think I would like the second game nearly as much as the first, but Michael makes it all worthwhile.
