Wincott mostly gets to play creepy bad guys, but he's a fantastic actor. Even in the worst films he's been in, he is always good - always finds a way to give a real performance and put his stamp on the role others would leave bland.

I heard him doing a voiceover radio ad for a late-night hot-dog vendor, and couldn't believe it.

Where's his opportunity? When will he get a shot to show what he's really capable of?

Probably not in the movies. He needs a tv show. Something where he can demonstrate some range. Give him a chance. The man's a great actor, I promise you.

I agree with you 100%. The problem (not really a problem, per se) is that Mr. Wincott values art over the dollar. He needs a top notch story, a la Breaking Bad, to be committed. He did 24, so there's hope, but it's got to be something that strikes his artistic fancy.

I have to agree. He is always good but most of his movies are forgettable.

My family and I were just watching The Count of Monte Cristo again... He seemed so familiar to me and then I realized that I know him from his wonderful performance as the Prophet of Truth in Halo 2.

And suddenly my respect for him skyrocketed. He has a very commanding screen presence! I also hope he is given some major roles. Talent like that shouldn't be wasted.
