Favorite Performance (Besides Willy Wonka)?

For me, it's Leo Bloom from The Producers.

reply

Frodorick Fronkosteen, hands down.

He was the writer too, so double merit.

reply

This.

Honourable mention for Blazing Saddles though.

reply

Yes, I was going to say the same thing.

Frisco Kid and Silver Streak

Honorable Mention: Lady in Red

reply

1. George Caldwell in Silver Streak (1976).
2. Jim the "Waco Kid" in Blazing Saddles (1974).

reply

Dunno. Actually it's interesting how out of fashion he and his films seem to be now. I suspect it's that period of time when most 70s & 80s films look old and clumsy and the fashions and cars etc are dreadful. But in another decade or two this will change and some at least will be rediscovered.

Blazing Saddles and Start the Revolution Without Me

Young Frankenstein
Stir Crazy
See No Evil, Hear No Evil

reply

I loved him in "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein" too.

reply

The Frisco Kid (1979)

reply

Yes..men in films can get scared, mad, silent..but hysterical is not often portrayed.

His Leo Bloom character is my favorite for this reason.
