Recently Lea was the guest DJ on Sirius XM radio, during that time she spoke of auditioning for "Breakfast Club". What role did she audition for?

Both John Shea and Lea Thompson give stellar performances in this film. Both should've been considered for Oscar nominations. Thompson's acting keeps getting better and better with each project of late. For any fan of Thompson out there I highly recommend this film. Don't let the idea of this film being a chick flick cause you to pass it by. It's a great film. I wished it had gotten more distribution upon release so that more people could've seen it.

I apologize to the OP of this thread. I was posting about Lea's film, "The Trouble With The Truth" and replied instead of posting a new topic. So sorry.

I love her, but I'm not shocked she wasn't cast. She doesn't seem weird/angry enough to play the Ally Sheedy character and doesn't seem mean or stuck up enough to play the Molly Ringwald character.
