I just watched Ghost on TV

I miss that guy.

Was he really heavy depressed alcoholic in his real life?

I've never watched it...I was always planning to though....it just never seemed right for me to watch it. So, I avoided that movie, it just didn't set well with me watching a movie about his character dying. Now, that he's gone, I don't think that I will ever watch Ghost. I wouldn't be able to get through it.

Wrong way to go about it. I just watched it on TV too and—I'm going to admit, I couldn't remember if he'd died or not, but I figured he must've since the thought was even in my head in the first place—and it's a touching legacy. It really shouldn't disturb you. He'd want you to watch it, it's a feel-good movie, it's funny and it's meant to entertain you. Nothing more, nothing creepy, nothing sad.

So go for it. I would watch it alone, though :)

RIP Patrick

Agree with Meteor Storm. He wouldn't want his death to affect one's view of the film "Ghost" just because his character dies also. He'd want you to see it as it was meant as, when it was made. Romantic, funny, sad.

I bawl my eyes out every time I watch, but it is such a life affirming movie. And Patrick's last line is the one I will always remember him by.

A year over this original post still pissed me off enough to corrected someone's error. Patrick and his wife, Lisa live a clean organic life. Patrick never used drugs, he was a dancer no 1 and a dancer who believed in their craft would never used drugs to extend it. His death was very sad for this former dancer who had the privilege to dance with this man. His death has only inspirited me, he was a great teacher to the student and dancer who were inspiration by his work and he inspired in the art of dance. That is the man I will always miss. Rest in Peace Patrick, I've got your back.

I have always LOVED Ghost. The part where he is shot,I WILL probably be on the floor now.I hated that part of the movie. The movie is sad, funny makes you wonder about returning souls. The last part made me cry when I first saw it,and now that Patrick Swayze has died.
