Not one post? Helen Slater was a beautiful woman who deserves a post. I loved her as Supergirl, and I enjoyed her in Secret of My Success. And of course, Becky Gelke. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oq-1CtCPUyo

I've never seen Supergirl. Too many people I respect tell me to avoid it at all costs. I did like her in Ruthless People, though.

I watched Ruthless People again recently, that movie is still pretty good, story and all the performances. Like an 80s screwball dark comedy.

Supergilr is pretty lame, thats all I can say about it, lame. You may as well watch it just to tick it off the list. It has enough good and bad to not be a complete waste of time.

She disappeared in the early 90s.

My only recollection of seeing her last was in that stupid Billy Crystal vehicle

Whats the story? She have a family or get dumped into small roles?

I think her career was fading and perhaps she got interested in starting a family. Or just got tired of the grind of going up for parts.

It happens a lot. An actor has a little bit of success and looks like they could be headed for big things, but they never really take the next step.

Edit: Looks like she's still acting, but in smaller parts and movies.

I did look her up and made my statement based on her scant appearances.

My point was that she went from A-list movie headliners to single episode guest appearances on a handful of TV serials. Lately though, it's been even less than that.

Helen was never an A list star tho she worked in films and shows of A listers.

Over a 100 acting jobs in mainstream films and shows is successful. Ask someone in the business.
