Our species peaked about sixty years ago. It's been spiraling down the loo for decades and is now reaching terminal velocity. That being said, sending Shatner into space was great fun. Good for him!

And yes there is a lot of political issues but people can't deny the world is better now than in the '50s when gay people have to live hidden, and black people were second class citizens in countries like the USA and many others, the level of illiteracy where skyrocket and child mortality were huge in third world countries, and sure those things are problems still but the world is changing for the better, we have some problems with radical feminism and other political groups but all the PC bullshit is going to die and we are going to find a balance between mutual respect and real tolerance
The Internet has made knowledge and communication accessible for everybody instantly, for the first time in human history such thing is even possible is incredible people are not able to be amazed to live in this time and era.
I'm here in my house in Venezuela communicating with people around the world in real-time talking about something as trivial as movies almost for free, later I'm going to Youtube and continue with a video curse about app development then I can watch music videos, which one? hell, I can watch ANY music video ever made, later if I want I can have a video chat with anyone from any part of the world in real-time, I can make a virtual visit to the Sistine chapel, we have a global pandemic and the vaccine was create in a year.
Are you people F*** kidding me? we live in magic times
I see the future with optimism I believe it's gonna worth the wait to see what the world is going to be like in twenty or thirties years from now
