Condolences

It's sad that William Shatner is grieving about the lost of his good friend and he has to deal with yellow journalism from sleazy newspapers (yes, you NY Daily "News") and fans who don't understand that people can't beam across the country in a blink of the eye.

Agreed. I'm no William Shatner fan, but the Daily News' front-page condemnation
of him (calling him a "Shat-Head," etc.) is just tacky and mean-spirited. Shatner committed to another event; his daughters attended Mr. Nimoy's funeral; in Jewish funerals, the deceased is buried as soon as possible, generally within a day, and
there's very little time to book flights, change plans, etc. Worst of all, attention was taken away from Nimoy's death and tributes in order to focus on Shatner's supposed unfriendliness, yet again. George Takei is planning to bring his musical Allegiance to Broadway soon. I expect it to be overshadowed by
stories about Shatner snubbing the opening night premiere, etc.

I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!

Hewwo.
