What is up with british people teeth?

Why do almost all british people I know have bad teeth. It is like they don't believe in oral hygiene at all. I know there are dentists in the U.K I have seen the commercials. Yet they have really bad teeth. British celebrities include: Estelle (singer), Tim Roth (actor), Ricky Gervais (actor), and the list goes on. I almost died of horror watching V for Vendetta when they kept closing in on the Leader of the government teeth. All those gaps and black spots. Ugh!!! Please use a toothbrush. No excuse in 2009!

I like Tim Roth's teeth...

And did I mention Tim Roth is hot?

I've seen over half of Tim Roth's films, and he's teeth have NEVER bothered me. I think he's sexy, so they obviously have never caught my attention...they may not be perfect braces teeth, but it's not like they are green and falling out...

he's still a hottie.

I just pictured Tim Roth with green teeth falling out, and guess what?........ HE WAS STILL HOT!

I realize I can really paint a picture.

I like his teeth! They appear to be a bit crowded on the bottom, but they look clean and hygenic. :)

I love his fangs... anyone notice how long his canines are compared to the rest of his teeth? So awesome.

yes! i've come to the conclusion that, talent and acting chops aside, it's his teeth that most captivate me and make me find him sexy. they just look sort of... animalistic almost. love the teeth.

I don't think British teeth are necessarily 'bad', they just aren't cosmetically fixed like (I imagine) Stateside teeth are. Do Americans really have no fillings or no missing teeth? Maybe this is true and the only way dentists can make money is by all the bleaching, polishing and fixing of braces...

What I find weird (and often completely distracting)is how 'almost all' American actors have great big (expensive?) pearly white gnashers whatever sort of character they're playing.

(and apologies if jsmalls-1 isn't American, it's just I've heard this so many times from Americans....)
