If the Cursed Child is adapted into a movie

Suppose that the stage play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" is adapted into a movie, with Daniel Radcliffe and the rest of the cast of the seven films. Who'd you pick to replace Alan as Snape?

reply

Benedict Cumberbatch

I could see that.

reply

First impulses: Tim Roth or Aidan Gillen

But wouldn't it be really disrespectful to recast such an amazing role that one actors Pulled off perfectly after his death? I don't think we're getting new chekoff/Leia scenes in their sequels.!

reply

They did it with Dumbledore...

I can't see the Cursed Child becoming a film only because I cants see the actors agreeing to come back. I think Daniel and Emma especially have moved on and will not look back to play characters they used to play when they were children, essentially.

reply

I heard there's already talk to redo the series.

reply

Wait a minute... Snape has been dead for decades by the time of "the Cursed Child". How can he have a role?

reply

There's something with time travel or something with that so he's there. Don't know what cause even though i would like to have a sequel most people say the whole story is bad so i don't want to have my favorite series ruined for me. But I enjoyed the first fantastic beasts movie so maybe i'll give it the same view as for beasts that it's a different alternative universe.

reply

I'm not super-familiar with the script, so if he has a small role that could be culled from the existing footage of Rickman, I'd go with Rickman.

If not, Adam Driver.

reply

Snape is critical to the story. Not a small role.

reply

Adam Driver, saw him in the new Star Wars trilogy and he DOES look like Snape!
