Can't watch his work anymore

I know it's weird to be upset over someone I've never met but he was my favourite actor. I watched everything he was in a million times, I followed his work and when he died in January, it was very difficult to take.
I stopped watching his films because it was sad to see his face and remember that he passed away.

It's been 7 months now and when I think about it, it just makes me sad.

I'm sad too. I saw Eye in the Sky, but nothing else. Hello, Alan, wherever you are.

I still feel numb when I think about his unexpected death. I do still watch his films over and over but am sad in knowing that there will be no more. He was my favorite actor too.

I will never let you part, for you are always in my heart: MJ

I think sometimes you feel close to an actor/ musician etc even though you don't know them.
I'd enjoyed Mr Rickmans work since Die Hard and my wife introduced me to some of his other movies when we met. My girls loved him in Harry Potter. I was lucky enough to meet him at work a couple of years ago, he was without doubt a charming and lovely man. I've never heard a negative comment about him. Very sad

It has been difficult indeed, this year.

Not a single day passes without me thinking about him in some way. That's of course because I live in London and many areas are reminding me of bits and pieces of Alan. Continuously.

I only watched the Harry Potter series and visited the WB once again, because I love the HP story, the fact that everyone has to work together, is very important.

Here in London as a European I am a victim of the Brexit and half the population has voted against us Europeans in true Trump style.
JK Rowling is a heroine, she stood as a block FOR Britain IN Europe, similar to her Harry Potter story, where no one in the wizard world should be singled out.

There are certain Rickman fans who voted for a Brexit and clearly have not understood JK Rowling's story. These fans have also suggested that our hero Alan would have voted against Europeans! Would Alan consider Brexit or Trump or Voldemort even a slight possibility? I'm not convinced!

We will never know what he would voted for since he died before June, but in this Post-Brexit Britain I'd like to remember Alan Rickman as a man who worked together with European actors throughout his career and would never ever adopt the style of a Voldemort, chasing Mudbloods (=Europeans) out of his country.

As for his other movies, I will give them a try when Winter time sets in, when I can no longer wander through London due to early darkness. I assume I will be strong enough.

I wish all of you the very best in dealing with his passing.

Thats how I feel with Brittany Murphy. Its not fair she had to die so young.

Also I'm way unhappy with the death of Leonard Nimoy. Noooo not Spock !

People die all the time and it is just life... eventually all the great actors will perish... but some are just harder to relate to because they were so fundamental in your cultural reference library since childhood, or simply because they had something about their being that shined through and you just couldn't help but like the actor. I am normally sad if someone dies untimely or if a great one dies, but tend to be no more.

Robin Williams was really hard to swallow, first time I cried over an actor dying instantly. Still a sore topic for some reason... he just seemed like a silly friend of the family who you'd always love because he could make you smile and laugh.

Alan Rickman is was as hard if not harder to cope with. I really really liked him, he was just deliciously evil and malicious or incredibly trustworthy and comforting, and he was somehow still always very deep down in his characters more human in character than any other, no matter what or who he played. You could just sense that he wanted his characters to appear human despite all, that he believed everyone was deep down the same scared insecure people. And he just shined through no matter what he did. He had incredibly positive presence and he could steal the scene from everyone and you would just love it.

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.
