was he fat in Pulp Fiction?

He looked a bit tubby in Pulp Fiction, but we know he's very muscular. He always had long sleeves in PF, so I'm thinking they may have made him up to be less muscular for some reason. Especially in the scene where he grabs the shotgun after the rape scene, he looks straight up fat.
