Anyone STILL angry that he was left out of the Academy Awards Memorium?

The spokeswoman who was asked about it said simply they couldn't include everyone... But he was a pretty well-known actor, so it's pretty *beep* of them to not include him. Just make the cuts between each person's memorium quicker and BOOM! He can have a slot.

Put your lighter in the air and lead me back home.

Agreed. I don't care how he went, he was an undeniably natural talent and his death got a lot of media attention, so this exclusion just never really made sense to me.

I'm Tom Hanks and I want you in my bed.

Apparently the Hollywood movie industry snubs actors and actresses who die from a drug overdose.

reply

Not really since Heath wasn't snubbed.

reply

No because they made such a big deal about Heath Ledger and he died from an overdose.

I was so upset when they left him out. It was like a slap in the face to his fans. I had followed his career since The Client and even watched his little known indy films through Netflix.

It still baffles me to this day that they found time to put in actors and directors that no one of this generation would know but say they didn't have time to put a working actor's picture in that In Memorium.

Shady business!

Maybe THATS THE POINT,he was mostly only known to your generation. It's only natural to include a veteran of Hollywood instead of a relative newcomer. Little known indy films is another factor.

His 28 credits are not mostly feature films, but also TV episodic and 'shorts'. The Oscar memoriam is more for feature-films actors that are more established.

I agree what you say. He was more of a child and teen actor and not even anything of greatness other then The Client and Sleepers. All the other stuff he was in wasnt anything award winning and was just getting him by.From 98 and on he was always in trouble from drugs. Heck I didn't even know he was dead. I came here in search of wondering if it was the kid from The The Client on a movie I was watching and it wasnt but found out he was just another lost young person in Hollywood that started young and his parents threw him to the wolves and he died of the typical overdose. I also found out he had auditioned to play Gabriel and Heath Ledger got the part. Heath died exactly of an overdose 1 week after Brad. His career was really a short one because he really took it seriously the first few years and the rest was to get money for drugs. Its sad but true.

how do you mean?
I don't think introducing him to show-biz is being negligent,if that's what you meant.
