shareHe wasn't dead when the OP posted that. But the rest of your point is valid. It wasn't like he was some new kid on the block. He's had a 35 year career. If someone couldn't decide on his ability as an actor by now they never will, even if Pete had lived another 30 years.

shareA very good example of what Pete was capable of, is his performance in the two early Sharpe films Sharpe's Company and Sharpe's Enemy. He and Sean Bean were brilliant together, as always.
