LP on Major Crimes - What the....???

Saw him come up on the opening credits and was looking forward to seeing him in this episode. My jaw dropped when he turned around. What happened to him?? Maybe I'm used to men aging well in Hollywood but he is looking so rough. I know not everyone can be George Clooney but didn't expect such deep forehead wrinkles and saggy skin. Made me feel really good about how I'm aging.
