Should play Sir John Franklin

In case any of you are unaware, the wreck of one of Sir John Franklin's ships, the HMS Erebus, was found in the waters off King William Island in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago last fall, which I am sure will generate some interest in Franklin's ill-fated search for the Northwest Passage. There's been talk recently that director Jean-Marc Vallee will adapt Dominique Fortier's novel about the Franklin Expedition, On The Proper Use Of Stars. I know there was also talk a while back of some tv network adapting Dan Simmons' novel The Terror.

In any event, if a film were to be made about the Franklin Expedition, I think Liam Neeson would make an excellent Franklin.

What do you think?

Now, that's a neat idea! I've just recently been reading more in-depth and at length about Sir John Franklin's ill-fated expedition and I can very well picture Liam Neeson portraying him (in either a well made and as historically accurate as possible film or television series).
