I saw a movie like 30+ years ago and I could swear he was in it. A man meets a woman and after they are intimate, she has to tell him she's HIV positive. I think it was like a British or Irish film maybe, sort of in the vein of the Good Mother. Its nowhere to be found on IMDB or any other filmography of his Does this ring a bell with anyone?

It was "Sweet as You Are" with Miranda Richardson from 1988. IMDB lists it as an episode of Screen Two.

Another excellent older Neeson film is Excalibur. He plays Gawain.
