When she speaks in Russian in orange is the new black...

She sounds embarrassingly bad. Like a 1st year student in a Russian course.

I would actually say she did a good job. Yes her pronunciation isn't great, but neither is any 'Russian' on television. There's a few characters on the show that spoke fluently, Red is one of those who is clearly not fluent, but she does seem to be trying harder than most, despite the accent I can understand what she says.

In general why she does a good job at it is not just because of what she says, but the way she says it, the intonation she uses, facial expression as well as the gestures - she really captures that Eastern European middle aged lady look.

She's terrific on there! Who cares about her accent? 99% of Americans can't tell the difference, me being one of them.

She's vunderful. What a great actress.
