Carmen Miranda simply da best.

Hello, everybody!!!

How are you all?
Carmen was one of kind for her days. The first latina to get famous in USA althought she was born in Portugal she greatfully adopted Brasil. There are some people of her family still here living.
I'm thankfull for her existence without her Brasil wouldn't be so noticed as it's for da fun side. Brazilian are happy people besides anything that's happenin'.

I think Carmen Miranda is one of the prettiest women in history. Her hats made out of fruit, midriff-baring tops, long skirts, and platform sandals contribute to this.

Hello, Jim!!!

How are u?
Her hats, tops, skirts and sandals are still remembered in some cartoons such as Tom&Jerry and others.
It's great to see that she's still in people's thoughts.
Thanx.

IN LATE 1953 I WAS IN BEVERLY HILLS AND KNOCKED ON CARMENS DOOR. HER HUSBAND ANSWERED AND THEN CARMEN WALKED BY AND INVITED ME IN. I WAS IN THE ARMY AND IN UNIFORM. I ENDED UP SITTING AT THIER BAR POOL SIDE FOR HOURS TALKING AND DRINKING WITH HER AND HER HUSBAND. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND NICE. I ENJOYED THE MEETING AND WILL NEVER FORGET IT.

Hi there! Let me tell you I totally agree with you! I'm from AsunciĆ³n, Paraguay, just next to Brasil, and I feel VERY proud for having such an awesome artist representing -so magically- this part of the world during '40s! And I know she's still a HUGE south-american icon! And a classic musical icon! AND a Hollywood icon!

Even knowing she wasn't totally happy during her lifetime, she represents on screen -better than anybody else- pure happiness and healthy fun to me. (I just can't remember when I laughed so out loud just like yesterday, watching "Week-end in Havana", when she was chasing Cesar Romero all over the room, during an elegant party. She was just HILLARIOUS, FABULOUS!).

She's a goddess to me! She's the very best!

Miss Carmen Miranda ROCKED!!!
