When did Rose McGown get so angry?

https://youtu.be/BDKlrey9ETc

I mean I get people change, but she's so militant and aggressive now. If you've seen any interview of hers before 2012 she was very different.

I could only stand about 2 minutes before leaving.

What a laugh. First, she was never an "It" girl in the 90s. She got some fame for being Marilyn Manson's girlfriend and a bit for Planet Terror.

But she was never like a huge star. Most of her fame was being attached to Mason and Rodriguez.

Now she is trying to talk all smartsy and intelligent, calling herself a "director." I will hold my breath for the blockbuster picture she "directs."

She IS a hypocrite and NO she CANNOT bring up sexism after having appeared at the MTV awards dressed like that UNLESS she is prepared to own that hypocrisy...which she is NOT. She is disgusting now! Who does she think she is to question those who question her? She the public figure, and thus we viewers alike WILL approach her for these actions both past and present. It goes with the territory and it's part of the biz. If she REALLY left Hollywood, she'd be out and away in a far off place somewhere enjoying her privacy and newfound life. Here, she is grasping for every ounce of attention she can get, most probably because she got screwed and is making everyone pay for that. She is really immature and no matter how smart she might talk, it doesn't cover up the rambunctious, childish way she is behaving.

and no matter how smart she might talk

That's the thing, she doesn't even talk smart. It's just a bunch of trying to sound all tough by being confrontational and angry but it's just rambling.

What I think is funny is she says she is not an actor but is a director. I checked and she has one credit of something nobody has ever heard of as a director.

All very true and valid points.

What I find to be the most amusing, and certainly the most hypocritical aspect of all in this sham of a split imaged interview, is that she IS playing in to the HOLLYWOOD game just by giving this interview. She's literally hitting herself on the head with the baseball bat she wants to take to Adam Sandler's car. This PR move is supposed to be an attempt to free herself of the persona and image she once held in Hollywood, and she is just associating herself with it in all respects. And instead of relating to her audience, she is trying to be aggressive and project the image she wants people to see of her.

She is lost right now. She got caught up in the Hollywood game and she's looking for redemption. Her biggest downfall is that she is not examining her surroundings, the world of Los Angeles to appropriate her responses in a relateable manner. She says some wonderful things about Los Angeles and the artistry here - and makes mention that you need to focus on the positive - AAAAAAAAAAAAND then she just blurts our french words and paints the portrait of a garlic-gnarled personality with bitter roots.

Yes, she is a hypocrite, and I wouldn't be surprised if she's being encouraged by someone else in the industry.

OK, I went back and watched the whole thing.

She has such delusions of grandeur. She keeps saying how great she was in acting and now as a director, then spouts off about sexism in Hollywood. And don't you dare criticize her if she wears see through dresses and shows off her body.

She sounds like a spoiled brat who just found out the world does not revolve around her. She tries to claim she is doing it for other poor girls when it's really all about her. This is just a silly attempt to generate publicity for herself.

Women are usually more liberal than men. Doesn't necessarily mean they're leftists. Women have great difficulty isolating analytical and logical thinking from emotions because they have a lot of cross-talk between hemispheres. Males don't.

She has some valid points but it's hard to watch because she's posturing herself as an aggressive intellectual to the point that it's obnoxious. Her response to that would be something like "I can be whatever the fvck I want to be, don't tell me what I should do," which, okay... but people are still going to talk and reflect on what you say.

I don't question the fact that she was objectified by an industry that is historically known for objectifying people, but her hostility baffles me because I don't believe that she wasn't aware of how Hollywood worked. Maybe not at the very, very beginning of her career, but (especially as a woman), you'll certainly find out fast. If it was that big of a problem for her, she could have left, but she stayed in the industry for a solid 20 years—which is what I find it odd that all of a sudden she's become so vocally embittered and enraged about it. My guess would be it has something to do with how en vogue that kind of cause is right now. It's something she can grab onto and use her past in Hollywood as leverage.

When did the alleged rape take place? I mean was her change soon after she was raped because that would explain it.
