Rose McGowan Schools Caitlyn Jenner With Much-Needed Feminism 101

Another feminist criticizes pretend woman Caitlyn/Bruce. As usual the leftists condemn her and conservatives praise her. Do moderates take a stand or stay silent?

Her since-deleted post read:

“Caitlyn Jenner you do not understand what being a woman is about at all. You want to be a woman and stand with us- well learn us. We are more than deciding what to wear. We are more than the stereotypes foisted upon us by people like you. You’re a woman now? Well f—king learn that we have had a VERY different experience than your life of male privilege.
Woman of the year? No, not until you wake up and join the fight. Being a woman comes with a lot of baggage. The weight of unequal history. You’d do well to learn it. You’d do well to wake up. Woman of the year? Not by a long f—ing shot.”

And in the same breath she criticizes gay men for being "misogynist" because they don't stand for women's rights. She pretty much paints them all with the same brush.

That's where she loses credibility.

Meh. Jenner was an anti-gay marriage Republican until recently.

I don't get why people are giving Jenner a hard time for a stupid award that someone else chose to give her. I'm no fan of her but I think it's pretty gross to attack her for being an inexperienced woman.

I can if Jenner is going around saying the most difficult thing about being a women is deciding what to wear each day...that's just feeding into misogynistic stereotypes that ultimately harm women. It's really just offensive given the experiences of many women around the world.

Then again, Jenner killed someone and refuses to really acknowledge it, threw money to make it go away....not exactly the type of person who should be praised given the "whoops someone died, oh well" reaction.

I think anyone who takes that as a sincere comment just wants a reason to call her out. It was obviously an offhand joke, albeit a stupid one. Now the car crash thing I wont deny.

There is sexism against women in gay male culture. She's right to point that out. Just because your oppressed doesn't mean you can't oppress another disadvantaged group.
