Lack of storyline? Hell, Edwards came back and he was killed off the show. That's respectable.

Damn right.

Julianna probably would feel like a failure coming back to the show that made her career. I would imagine she left with visions of sugar plums dancing in her head. IE: being in more movies than she could shake a stick at, having Oscars being tossed her way, being the queen of the red carpet, etc. Instead, her career has been sadly lacking these things.

Let's face it, her career is NOTHING compared to George Clooney's. He left the show and made it HUGE in the movies. Juliana left the show and her career pretty much hit the crapper compared to his.

George has been up for Oscars and won, and Julianna had a show for her that only lasted 6 shows. It's a pretty dismal showing when compared to George's career.

That's the problem with some of these stars. There are stars out there who think that just because they're popular on one show, that means that movie offers and Oscar awards are just going to be falling into their laps if/when they leave their show. Unfortunately for them, some of them are only popular because of the show they are on and not because of their "talent".

Julianna got a rude awakening when she left E.R. I'm sure she thought she was going to be a big ole A-list movie star. Why else would she have left a hit show? After all, it worked for George.

Hey, I'd love to have her money, that's for sure. I'm just saying that she sure doesn't have the career that I'm sure she thought she was going to have when she left E.R. I think that's why she doesn't want to return to the show for a last hurrah...she's embarrassed.

Happy New Year everyone!

rotfl... so every actor dreams of Oscars and Clooney's career? What do you know about it?! Maybe she just left ER because she was tired of playing the same thing over and over... msot actors become actors because they want to step out of their lives and experience different things, shed their skins once in a while and don a new personality... if you stay for 25 years in ONE part doing the same three things all the time... what's the point?!

She got a career after ER... she made great indies, was on stage on Broadway, Off Broadway, she's got TWO Golden Globes Nominations, she got two leads in tv shows... not to mention her latest lead in the Good Wife and the ratings it's getting.

She refused big bucks when she left ER... she wanted to do something else and with the number of bad actors out there staying safe in boring tv parts with big salaries, it's more than commendable, it's downright ballsy!
