what has happened to all of the posts on here there was like 8 pages

I posted to a thread that had been created recently. Then I got a notification of another reply but when I looked the entire thread was deleted. The person that created the thread agrees that there was nothing in the thread that explains why it was deleted. So the theory that they delete old threads does not explain why that thread was deleted and there is no other explanation.
