Now that Majel Barret is dead

I love Jennifer Lien and she does have a great voice, but no. There'd be no reason for it, I'd love it if they used Majel's old voice overs from TNG/Voyager etc for the next film. But I doubt anyone involved would think about a nice touch like that.

What do you mean there would be no reason for it? The reason is that they need a voice actress for the computer, and she would be good for the role. Another reason is that it would be a nice nod to the fans. What the hell more reason do you need?

She would be good, she has one of the best voices around. Editing archive recordings of Majel would be a better nod to fans following her 40+ years involvement. :)

You could only edit the old Majel archives so far. You would eventually need to get a new actress altogether. I'm nominating Jennifer Lien.

Well seeing as Majel only had one line in the last film I'm sure they can manage. :)

That's just one film. I'm talking about when they eventually create a new series.

Well ... if there are any further remarkable Star Trek movies in the first place.

Right now it looks pretty dull in this respect.
