actors who just doesn't get enough recognition. She just doesn't do emotions; she's created some amazing characters. History will show her as one of the greats.

shareShe's gotten more than enough recognition over the years, it's just that she's never quite been into being a celebrity, and was always more into being an actor, that's all.
shareGetting replaced on a Stanley Kubrick film didn't do her any favours, although I often wonder if it was because Nicole Kidman didn't want to be upstaged.

shareNot all of her performances work for me but she makes interesting choices and - at her best - is a superb talent. A shame that none of her best roles have attracted much awards attention, but I hold out hope that her time will come.
shareAgreed. I've always enjoyed her diverse filmography (studio pictures & indies). She made a wonderfully memorable debut (Fast Times at Ridgemont High, 1982) and has continued doing interesting work for the past 40 years. A few of my favorites, Single White Female (1992), Mrs. Parker & the Vicious Circle (1994), Margot at the Wedding (2007), and Good Time (2017).
