She added "Jason" in honor of family friend Jason Robards. It's possible that there was already a Jennifer Leigh or Lee listed at SAG. Because JJL's father, Vic Morrow, was a well-known actor in his own right, she wanted to make her own career and not rely on his fame. This was part of what led to their estrangement, which sadly had not healed by the time Morrow met his terrible and untimely death.
