Idiot Keaton says F Word on broadcast tv

I didn't appreciate Diane Keaton, who is a movie star I generally admire, using the F word on braodcast television. This is not the language used in my home or by my family. She should realize that this is inappropriate and that as an "icon" what she says and does is important so the typical excuse used by these stars, that "it's a free world" and "I can say what I want" doesn't really fly. If she wants to be taken seriously -- such as on the "saving old buildings" issue and "it's okay not to get plastic surgery" she should not abase and belittle herself with BAD LANGUAGE.

It was an accident. It was not deliberate on her part. She apologized. This certainly does not make her an idiot.

you just probably too old or taking little things too seriously.. I love her for being wild and free. She didn't say this word to somebody she told just about herself, so what's the deal, men?

Yes, and I take it that "outragedagain," by his/her very username, gets his/her knickers in a twist over ever fairly minor censorship violation on television. Aren't there more important things on television to get upset about, like the nightly news?

reply

Im glad she did it! It was a nice surprise from the predictability of GMA. Go Diane! SCREW 'family values'!

Yes, yes!! Agree!!!! 1000 *thumbs up*!!!!!Words mean nothing, watch what person DOES!!! And sometimes cursing really helps to express yourself better

Its sad that we have to make a federal case out of the word *beep*.

She obviously did not intend to say it, but still, you have to watch your mouth on live broadcast television because of the FCC's strict rules these days. Also the fact that she put so much emphasis behind the word when she said it probably makes it a bigger deal to the media.
