I am doing an essay on Holly Hunter for my Film Acting class, comparing her acting in The Piano with her acting in Thirteen. Does anyone have information, or interviews/articles specifically about her training and acting techniques? It would be of great help.

shareI would just try using interviews from places like YouTube. In press junket type interviews, actors are often asked about their "craft".
shareShe seems to do the Jeff Bridges thing and eats a toffee apple before takes.
shareShe memorizes all the stuff she has to say. Then she holds in her stomach and stands where she's supposed to stand. Finally, she says all the stuff she memorized before so that it sounds like a real person saying it.

shareI had a great chuckle when the I'm sure the forgotten small profile actor Sterling Hayden said, I don't respect the Movie Process that allows People to be considered Great just because they look good and can deliver Lines.
Sterling was a real Iconoclast, for better or worse.
I like Sterling Hayden films and he was a good writer.
