Not impressed that he talked a 14 year old Sadie Sink into going vegan.

If Woody Harrelson wants to be a vegan that's his business but it was irresponsible of him to talk a growing 14 year old girl into doing the same. Bad Boy Woody !

hes a creep, probably grooming her

reply

I'm a vegetarian myself, but I don't proselytize or criticize other people's dietary choices, and don't approve of those that do.

Guilt-tripping a 14-year-old into restricting their diet is not something to be proud of.

reply

That is creepy, it's not a healthy decision for someone who is still growing.

reply

Veganism is not a healthy decision for anyone of any age. Humans have evolved as omnivores, not herbivores.

What about fat chicks?

reply

So veganism and vegetarianism will make an obese person lose weight or not make people gain weight LOL?? Yeah, pasta, rice, bread ect won't bulk you up and make people lose weight. πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ€”πŸ€”

Do you know any fat vegans? They are usually gaunt and sickly looking. Anyway, my theory also presupposes that the lifestyle takes McDonalds right out of the equation along with similar fast-food restaurants. I know they offer "vegan" options at these places but nobody ever buys them.

There are plenty of fat vegans and vegetarians are you kidding me? You're thinking of eating just vegetables. That's so not what veganism and vegetarianism is about. Mashed potatoes with lots of margarine. Large bowls of pasta with tons of tomato sauce. Potato chips. Fritos. Tortilla chips and salsa. French fries. Garlic bread dripping with margarine. There's lots and lots of very fattening unhealthy vegan/vegetarian food. Just because someone doesn't eat meat or animal products, does not mean that they're eating healthy or that they're skinny/underweight.

reply

In addition to soft drinks and desserts.

The list is endless. I personally would never give up meat/animal products no matter what. But I could see how grown adults can get along without it with all this other stuff that they can eat. A lot of people don't realize that most of the stuff that they eat is plant-based to begin with.

I don't believe a teen is going to give up a major food group unless she really wanted to especially when her family enjoys meat. Veganism is her thing.:

"Twenty-year-old Sink has been vegan for six years, following encouragement from former co-star and fellow Texas native Woody Harrelson.

β€œI switched to a plant-based diet when I was 14 years old,” she told GLAMOUR. β€œI had a lot of great vegan influences in my life, and was really inspired to try it out myself.”

β€œEveryone should consider it. It can be pretty intimidating at first, but just take it day by day. Every little choice counts!”

Sink had previously considered herself incapable of turning vegan, owing to her family being β€œbig meat-eaters.” But she has since become a vocal voice in the plant-based community."

What's wrong with being a vegan?
