Much better actor than he's given credit for

He's so good and subtle with his acting that he flies under the radar, and that's why people like Leo DiCaprio get all the acclaim and Harrelson doesn't. Don't get me wrong, Leo is great too, but he wants everyone to know it. Harrelson just doesn't care. He does it solely for the sake of contributing to the art of film.

there isn't anything he's done that isn't great.

I think that most people believe that Woody is great. He can be believable as a serial killer, a dimwitted bartender, pornographer, military officer, police detective, professional bowler and so on.

Conspiracy theorist? (2012)

He's extremely underrated, especially looking back at his humble beginnings in 'Cheers'.

He's been able to reinvent himself, but in the most natural ways. I think there was a few years when he was in duds, then he'll rebound. So that makes me think he's very self aware of his career direction, unlike some actors.

It also helps that, besides his thin hair, he's pretty much immortal. Dare I say he's a better looking dude and in better shape now than back in the 80's.

I was just watching him in Kate. Dude's 60 years old and he looks really good and fit. Looks also younger than he is. Amazing actor too!

reply

Oh and he is rocking the bald look!

reply

I miss his pretty golden locks from Cheers

reply

I've never watched Cheers, but I've always wanted to.

He's not good looking so his talent gets swept under the rug. He was excellent in Natural Born Killers, a matter of fact he made the movie (which wasn't the ''greatest'' otherwise) he deserved an Oscar.

reply

He is a great actor. Years ago after Cheers ended it surprised me that WOODY was the break out star of that show but he WAS and he deserves it.

reply

Yeah, he has such terrific range and really commits to his roles. It's disappointing honestly.

reply

i think he's alright.
haven't really seen anything he was in that i thought was a trash performance.

He’s always a pleasure to watch and from the indelible Woody Boyd onwards has given us a whole bunch of memorable characters and shown considerable range.
