Disney+ Removes Daryl Hannah's Butt From Splash With Bad CGI

"Though Splash is fun for everyone, it does have several small scenes that contain nudity. Despite this, Disney has added it to the library of their streaming service, Disney+. But of course, this being Disney, even small scenes of nudity must be weeded out of the family-friendly service.

the Disney+ cut of Splash features alterations to the film, which censor its small amounts of nudity. Unfortunately, in one scene in particular, the efforts to block out the sight of Hannah’s naked butt utilize some pretty bad CGI. The fix is apparently intended to just look like an extension of Hannah’s very long hair, but instead it just ends up looking like a strange fuzzy blur. "

That's no shocker. The puritanical state exists from both Left and Right sides of the spectrum.

It's too bad America can move away from feeling shame when seeing a naked body in its natural state.

Especially now when butt shots are not uncommon on television.

Gotta keep the world safe from Daryl Hannah's bare butt !

Was that a deliberate pun on the quaint old British comedy The Mouse That Roared?

Which is a very nice little film full of recognisable actors of the time.

Due to full scale and retroactive boycott on all Tom Hanks output following Saving Private Ryan I'd never have watched this again anyway, so the digital arse removal is lost on me...

Tell us where Tom Hanks hurt your feelings.

reply

Darn, that was a fine piece of ass.
It will be missed.

Ridiculous isn't it.

What problem is this sort of censorship trying to fix?

reply

They're concerned about a young woman's buns, but they release that horrid, racist, intimidating "Reparations Rap" crap in "The Proud Family". Disney heads are firmly up their own asses.
