Can someone explain her appeal to me

Cause i dont get it.

Was she considered really hot in the 80s? I remember in The Dream Team a line is made about pursuing Daryl Hannah as a dream woman; I didn't get it then and I don't get it now.

I have to agree, everyone was crazy about her in the 80's but I thought she looked kind of manly and not really all that attractive. To each their own I guess.

At a party in the late '80s a couple of my horndog pals were gushing about what a hottie Daryl Hannah was. They asked me what I thought and I said I got the impression that she was chronically listless and probably a dud in the sack. Gosh, did they get pissed.

She was the pretty blonde All American Girl that took her clothes off in a lot of her movies.

She was rich, famous and gorgeous and yet there was also this unimaginable sadness always accompanying her. And the people, you know, are always happy to see someone famous suffer because, well, it levels the famous with the common. And that is communism for you.

She was drop dead gorgeous...

She's actually a good choice when you need a cipher character, or a female at once removed from society in some way (i.e. prostitute, killer, mermaid).

Perhaps her good performances are accidental, or directed. But some entries on her IMDB certainly are good and we Queens can't take that away from her.

I thought she was adequately attractive and adequately talented, but never thought of her as a "dream woman" in spite of all the hype about her in the 1980s. She always seemed a bit bland. Maybe she's more interesting now that she's older. I haven't seen her in anything for years.
