He looked great in Episode 7! (spoilers)

Even though we only saw him for 30 seconds or so, he looked exactly like
I wanted him to look.

Like a real Jedi Master reminiscent of Obi Wan.

Can´t wait to see in action again! And hopefully he won´t do the Obi Wan in Ep 8
and die almost right away.

@Master_Y_o_d_a He's older than Alec Guinness was in Star Wars, yet looks about 10 years younger.

Maybe that's because he isn't a cranky git about the movies like Guinness was.

I think the beard looks great on him; makes him look wise and distinguished-looking, much like his mentor Ben Kenobi. I can't wait to see how he'll mentor Rey.

He looks exactly like... what doing an under-imaginative sequel 32 years later inevitably has to look like, i guess.

Any number of fabulous fanart on deviantart etc of Older Luke interpretations wipes the floor with the hermit Obi-Wan-robe thing in TFA. You'd think "The Last Jedi" would have a hell of a lot more freedom in whatever the hell he chooses to wear.

And look a hell of a lot more badass.
Like this for example http://www.deviantart.com/art/Luke-Skywalker-352420315

Yeah count me as disappointed.. I was hoping he would of had black robes. I know that was the PT Tradional robes, it doesn't really fit Luke though

Badass is not the same than good for a movie. Yes, that fan art looks badass, but I would have hated his role if he looked that way or if he turned to the Dark Side like he did in the comics. I don't know why people like the idea of Luke having anything to do with the Dark Side, IMO it is an awful idea, I mean it's terrible.

I probably shouldnt have used such a rote word as badass.
I definitely agree about the Dark side crap.
BUT the point is you can be Light side (or the more realistic grey?) and still not have to be the bathrobe wearing exile who 'turned his back' on everything.
And yet they went there, very very predictably.

I do think they should have done a sequel with the old cast sometime around the late 90s early 00s instead of turning time back to the prequel era. You bet your ass Luke would have had a more substantial action role back then.
