More talented than Ford

Mark is such a beautiful soul. Very talented and underrated. Overshadowed by Star Wars and his co-star. He is imo much more talented than Harrison ( and I love Harrison)

But when you look at Mark you see this short, nice, cute looking everyman/guy

Harrison has that IT star factor with which you can be ONLY born with...

The IT factor can take you very far...

But it´s a shame Hollywood did not appreciate Mark more

Ford's career wasn't doing that well for the last several years leading up to The Force Awakens.

Black Sabbath + Judas Priest + Iron Maiden + Metallica + Pantera + My Little Pony = LIFE

I agree he should have had more success or at least get more respect. I know many consider him the best animated voice-over for Joker. I feel the same way. I know many joke about how he had no career after Star Wars. Harrison got lucky with Indiana Jones since it was originally suppose to be Tom Selleck.

reply

Yeah with all of his roles and unique voice he seems a tad better than Ford.

Lose the Game!!!!!!!

Mark Hamill is still pretty big star and joker is the most popular villain in the world and I'm sure 99% of the world knows who mark Hamill is and know he voiced the joker as well as Luke sky walker

That's funny, but no

I do not think that he is necessarily more talented than Ford but you are right, he is absolutely underrated and talented too for sure. I always wondered why he had not more succes beyond Star Wars (for me to be Luke Skywalker is good enough). What happened with him?

reply

One more thing. I have "seen" him in two SW Conventions. It was always nice to see him on the stage.

He never broke out when he was young, that's a fact. I think it was the combination of personal troubles and the fact that never developed standard tall, big-jawed, "leading man" looks. He's one of those guys who looked like he was in high school up to age 30, and didn't look glamorous after, so his looks worked against him for a while. I've always admired him for rolling with the punches and developing a solid career, even if he didn't become a major star.

And I thought he was excellent in "TLJ". Whatever anyone thinks of the script I thought his performance was terrific, he's learned a lot about acting over the years.

reply

They've both made big names for themselves but I think Harrison Ford has proven to be the more versatile actor.

Why did Harrison Ford become such a movie superstar post-Star Wars despite limited acting range, while co-stars Hamill and Fisher simply faded away?
