Just Watching Him

For sure. I've never seen a Gene Hackman movie I didn't enjoy. One of my favorites is "Uncommon Valor". Such a rich, character driven movie. The idea may have been over the top but probably was truly pondered by some who missed their love ones. Hoosiers was excellent also with Hackman giving every ounce of his acting ability. He could make watching drying paint interesting. One of the greats and lots of today's actors could look to him to see what great acting truly is. Thanks for all the great memories Gene.

He's far and away my favorite actor of all time, and I don't believe he gets as much credit from the filmgoing masses as he deserves. I tend to say, not every movie he has made is great, but every one he is in is better for him being in it. Great actors can elevate less-than-great material, and Gene is one of the greats.

The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those that speak it.
