TCM Duvall tribute edited?
TCM just showed the tribute to Gene Hackman that they've been showing since the beginning of the month, spoken by Robert Duvall. I have seen it a bunch of times, and was only half paying attention, but I'm pretty sure it was edited since the last time I saw it.
There had been something in it about Hackman being cast as Mr. Robinson in The Graduate, then, as Duvall said "I don't know what went down," about Hackman being taken off of the film.
He'd also gone on to say that it was that change that freed Hackman up to do Bonnie and Clyde, and that he wasn't actually a fan of the film. Some of that was edited out, as well.
I suppose, as is often done with commercials, there could be a long and short version of the tribute, but I don't remember TCM doing that with any other of their tribute films.
And, since it was two fairly negative things that were removed, it seems like an edit to save someone's feelings, or to prevent a lawsuit.
I'll have to pay better attention next time they show it.

(I can never get the TCM videos to play on my computer, so I don't know whether the above link is the old video or the edited one)
ETA -- just saw it again, and paid full attention. Those cuts were made.
