Happy birthday Mr. Gene.

Huge fan.

Had held out hope, 'til recent years, that there would be a remake of I Never Sang for My Father. This time with Gene reversing the role. I think the world of Melvyn Douglas's performance, but can't think of anyone who could play the role of Tom better than Gene.
