nothing on tonight and this has been in my "to watch" queue for longer than I'd care to admit.
sure, it's a cheesy 80s romcom vehicle for Bette, but Boss gets second billing and is in a fair share of scenes. Granted, his star was on the rise with several supporting movie roles and Roseanne making waves at the time.

I do think it's almost laughable how it starts in 1969 with the main cast already in 30s (John's probably youngest between him, Bette, and Stephen Collins) and then jumps ahead to late 80s and the only real "aging" make up is a bit of powdered hair and John gets a REALLY BAD weave. well, Bette should have gotten some better make up for the 1969 scenes as she was already older than both guys.

also, his character Ed slowly turns into an alcoholic and it's almost uncomfortable knowing what the future held for him IRL in the following decade or so before he finally cleaned up.

I did have to laugh at the thought of nobody batting an eye at Bette smoking inside an office, tho! how times have changed!
