A bit belated for ticket availability, but I didn't find out until today:

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Hollywood actor and St. Louis native John Goodman will be honored this summer by his hometown baseball team. On July 6th, the St. Louis Cardinals will celebrate “John Goodman Night at Busch Stadium.”

The veteran star of the big and small screen, most recently in 10 Cloverfield Lane, will throw the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Cardinals taking on the Pittsburgh Pirates at 7:15pm. Fans who purchase the special theme ticket will receive an exclusive John Goodman bobblehead. A limited number of VIP ticket packages are also available. VIP ticketholders will take part in a pre-game meet-and-greet with the actor.

“The hardest part is trying to act cool through this huge honor. So I want to let the Cardinals and Cardinal Nation know that I’m using this opportunity as a one-pitch tryout to make the big club,” Goodman said.

Tickets and VIP packages for John Goodman Night are on sale now. For each themed ticket sold, a portion of the ticket price will be donated to John’s charity of choice, St. Louis Children’s Hospital.

Goodman is a graduate of Affton High School and Missouri State University. He won a Best Actor Golden Globe award in 1993 for his role as Dan Conner on the television series Roseanne. He is also known for his roles in many Coen brother’s films, including Raising Arizona, The Big Lebowski, and O Brother Where Art Thou? Children and adults alike will recognize him as the voice for “Sulley” in Disney’s Monsters, Inc.

Previous celebrity Cardinals fans honored with a Theme Night have included Jon Hamm, Nelly, Chuck Berry, and Andy Cohen.

(also link in the story)

no clue at moment where my seat is, as the "seat finder chart" does not recognize the section I'm told? Best guess looks to be either off/above 3b or behind home plate? http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/stl/ticketing/seating_3d.jsp
Nor am I sure yet WHEN the "Meet & Greet" starts? I'm thinking of getting there a couple hours early?
(still waiting to hear about seating from friends that go regularly, much less at Busch2.0, as I haven't been to a Cards game since early 80s.)

Remind me to ask about that 10CL "_ST Missouri Wolves" shirt, while I'm there. LOL

video interview early in the game (before Carpenter threw his back out with a swing).
I saw it playing on the monitors, but no audio, as they were keeping the play by play.

62 is in honor of Stan Musial.

He has lost a LOT of weight. I'd say he's maybe 250lbs now? IF that.
I got a photo with him and I look heavier at 220, but he's got a wider and taller frame than I do.

He was in announcer booth later (6th inning?), couldn't hear all of it over background chatter, but sounds like his next project is with John Slattery (Mad Men; the elder Howard Stark in Marvel movies) and is a remake of 1928 film. sounded like "Birdcage"? def "___cage".
