Deserves Oscar Nod For 10 Cloverfield Lane

He most certainly needs an Oscar, but he won't get one for 10CL.

yeah, if they gave his Barton Osar to Lerner, I don't see this one getting a nod, esp so early in the year.

He was wonderful in this,my main worry is all the weight he has piled on.I know that had lost a lot of weight.

He had lost about 100lbs prior to Red State, then gained some back in the intervening years, up to fall 2015, where he went on yet another diet after shooting "...Coopers", 10CL, and Trumbo, plus a West End stage run last summer (American Buffalo with Damian Lewis).

He claims he had a trainer 5-6 days a week all during that time, but would "stuff whatever was in reach into my mouth", which he had to break that junk food habit, too, after going sober and quitting smoking several times over the years.

When 10CL started production, and didn't yet have anything to with the Cloverfield movie (which I love btw), I was already quite psyched about it, because it sounded like he can make wonders in this role, and he did indeed.

I mean he is never not entertaining, but this was one of his best performances.
