This is generally the lowest common denominator in terms of a lack of critical thinking that scumbag lawyers rely upon to get poorly informed people to accept their narrative as more credible than the actual evidence (or lack there of) often suggests. "Never mind the evidence, I mean would 22 women lie/grossly exaggerate? " If the prospect of a nice settlement pay day was on the table then you bet you ass they would.

shareNo. It's the sleazy lawyers organizing it. In these kinds of "Taking all comers/No scrutiny necessary" cases, people are enticed via the media to "come forward" by dangling the prospect of a lawsuit payout.

shareNot quite. There was actually strong evidence (i.e. caught on video) in at least some of the Weinstein allegations. On the other hand you have a case like Cosby where he gets convicted, pretty much exclusively based on he said, she said from like 30 years earlier.
