Nice to see an actress exit Hollywood gracefully

Not sure why she doesn't act anymore but it is nice to see an actress leave Hollywood after her prime rather than become d list and become desperate for work and get botoxed up looking freakish like so many other Hollywood actress after they have had their time. We can now remember Bridget as a beautiful actress who made some pretty good movies

What a load of sexist garbage.

Only actresses that have no talent and are simply eye candy have to worry about being desperate for work when they get older. They had no substance to begin with.

Acting isn't about being beautiful. It's about acting. Kathy Bates could draw in 10 times the audience on her worst day than Bridget Fonda could draw in on her best.

Real actress get better with age.

Take a look at the ages of some of the recent Oscar winners for best actress.

Julianne Moore - 54

Cate Blanchett - 44

Meryl Streep - 61

Helen Mirren - 61

At 94 Betty White still has more fans than most, if not all, 25 year old actresses.

Only mediocre actresses become desperate or fade away with age. Real actresses take over the world.

BTW, I should clarify, I don't believe for a second that looks had anything to do with Bridget Fonda leaving acting. She is not one of the no talent hacks I was referring to. She left for reasons that had nothing to do with aging and everything to do with wanting a different kind of life.

The type of woman I was talking about are the Pam Andersons and Jessica Simpsons of the world.

And yet you felt the need to diss Bridget Fonda by calling her ten times worse an actress than Kathy Bates (which is just nonsense)?

Somewhere in the gray wood by the river is the huntsman. His hounds tire not. Fly them.

Phoebe Cates retired too to raise her children.
and decided not to come back. bot everyone has a fire to continue acting forever.

this hyperbole doesn't speak well of those that would go see Kathy Bates on her worst day.

Wow! Sounds like someone has a serious case of ' panties-in-a-bunch-itis '.

Maybe ,after her car crash, she just changed the priorities in her life. Actors retire from the business all the time. She hasn't become a recluse.
