Was Morgan Pursued by Dynasty or Knots Landing?

Okay, we know that after "Flamingo Road" ended in 1982, Morgan was asked to reprise the role of Jenna Wade on "Dallas". She of course turned it down -- I think she has said she wanted to do stage work and not get pegged as a soap vixen (as I recall). She later did "Paper Dolls" & a season of "Falcon Crest". But I always wondered if she was also pursued by "Dynasty" or "Knots Landing" in the 80's but perhaps passed on whatever they offered. She was sort of THE soap vixen of the 1980's & I can't imagine those shows wouldn't have pursued her or at least considered her. I would have loved it if she'd been a long-running character on one of the soaps, instead of her relatively brief leading roles on Flamingo Rd, Paper Dolls, Falcon Crest, and her guest turn on Dallas.

I doubt it. I think she or someone would have mentioned it by now and I can't imagine why she would turn down Dynasty and choose Falcon Crest, unless she found the Falcon Crest role more interesting. She wasn't a regular villainess on that show so it was a departure of sorts and the charecter had a interesting plot compared to others she has played. As for KL, I also doubt it. I remember when Nicollette Sheridan said when she first joined the producers told her Donna Mills would hate her( she didn't though)so maybe they would have been reluctant to hire Morgan for fear of upsetting Donna.

I think she was too much like Donna Mills to be on Knots Landing. As for why Falcon Crest after Flamingo Road, I believe the two shows had many of the same producers and behind the scenes folks, so it made sense people who had worked with her before would want to work with her again. Plus, she mentioned in an interview a long time ago she enjoyed the opportunity to work with David Selby again (he basically played the same character on both shows). And let's face it- even though she was only on FC for one season, she had a really fascinating role that was much different from the typical 'Morgan Fairchild' identity. Good for her for agreeing to play Jordan in what had to be a pretty darn challenging role.
