What's her 'natural' accent?

I know Jennifer best for her British roles so was surprised to hear her speak in a full-on American accent during interviews for Contagion.

I must confess I don't think I've watched her in many other interviews so was wondering if the US accent is from her childhood and she has adopted a more British sounding accent, or is it the other way around? Or is it something else entirely?

I think having UK mom and USA dad she always could speak both.
There were the times when she was inclined to feel British and live in UK, but then she obviously changed her mood and worked more in America, mostly on stage.

Then she married an American writer and now she considers herself as American, and declares that her native language is American. If she's really stopped to waggle and is happy at last - so much the better.

why can't she be both? I consider myself both Indian and American. I left India with my parents when I was fifteen. When I speak with other Indians, my accent becomes more "Indian" (although there's really no such thing as an "Indian accent". they're all different according to the state/region the Indian is from). But most of the time, my accent is good ole boring Northeastern seaboard.

I don't understand why she can't be both. She's an actress. A changing accent is a good tool for her craft.

"her native language is American"

There is no such thing. Her accent has aleays been english and she has made herself look a bit of a fool speaking with an american accent in her contagion interviews. Who does she think she is, Joss Stone?
