Meryl Streep likeness is uncanny, I think

I know somebody just posted a thread about this, but I wanted to post my own. During the movie (when I saw it in the theatre), I thought she was Meryl Streep's daughter, or perhaps sister. I was quite surprised to find out that she evidently has no relation to Ms. Streep. She should certainly play her daughter or sister if the role ever comes up.

Thus woman is NOTHING like Meryl Streep. Meryl Streep has a lovely, melifluous voice. Jennifer Ehle has the MOST irritating, grating voice and stocatto cdemce on her speech. She ducks...and there's NO CMOARISON between her and Meryl Streep.

reply

And she's almost a dead ringer for Meryl.

reply

I'm actually on this page as I was checking if she's Mary McDonnell's daughter or sister!

I was watching Zero Dark Thirty, not having checked who is in it, and I was racking my brains wondering who this actress was. I did think she had something of the young Meryl Streep about her, and a little of Bev from British soap opera Brookside.
Finally, as I read the credits, I saw OMG! Jennifer Ehle! Elizabeth Bennett on the trail of Bin Laden! Two such different roles, and she was great in both of them!

You should watch her in Contagion recently or The Camomile Lawn from many years ago - pre P&P. Each character very different. She was quite wonderful as the dogged scientist in Contagion, looking for the antidote, and as the wild and selfish Calypso in The Camomile Lawn, very blonde and *itchy.

If you look at pictures of her mother, Rosemary Harris, years ago, they look a lot alike.

reply

She kind of reminds me of Julianne Moore as well.

Dear Warden. You were right. Salvation lies within.

reply

Meryl Streep......with a touch of Robin Wright (formerly "Robin Wright Penn").

reply

I see what you are referring to when I saw her in The Blacklist.
