Playing Doctor Doom

Will he still be Stark or are we supposed to just ignore the fact that it's the same actor?

reply

Some people have suggested that Robert will only be doing the voice, for instance, how Pedro Pascal does in The Mandalorian.

reply

Even so much like James Spader RTD has a very distinct voice. We'll still be hearing Iron man.

reply

I prefer him as Doctor Dolittle.

reply

Doctor Doom with a Welsh accent?

reply

I didn't get it.

reply

In the Doctor Doolittle film, RDJ (unconvincingly) adopted a Welsh accent.

reply

Ok, I did not get that as well, considering I always thought that the British accent in RDJ's Sherlock movies was not very good there too.

reply

I saw it with my daughter - it was terrible.

And now every time I read a comic with Doctor Doom in it, Iā€™m going to hear a Welsh accent, lol.

reply

Will he be a wise ass type of DR. DOOM with one wise ass comment after another, or disguise his voice behind the iron mask DOOM wears?? I'm just trying to wrap my head around why Feige went this route out of all the actors out there, you mean to tell me you couldn't find one to play the part?? šŸ™„

reply

He found one to play the part. Pay attention.

reply

You know what I meant šŸ™„

reply

Maybe Feige is trying to be an author. Casting the same actor over and over, like Wes Anderson and Bill Murray.

reply

Do you mean "auteur"?

reply

Yep.

reply

Wild guess here, but he's Tony Stark from another universe who went the villain route and designed Dr. Doom armor instead of Iron Man armor.

reply

And had George Clooney's fancy coffee machine blow up in his face and render him hideous.

reply

My bet: He is a clone of Tony Stark. Thus we get introduced also to clones in the universe and can have a Clone Saga following after Secret Wars.

reply

Uh, dude, you're, like, totally embarrassing me in front of the Fantastic 4, bro.
