Magnificent Seven

I saw the film last night, really liked it. I was quite surprised how different D'Onofrio looked compared to the last thing I saw him in - Daredevil - but I know that he's quite the chameleon. His character's voice was certainly memorable.

I loved it.

I totally agree!

Agree...he was absolutely amazing, both humble and funny and unstable, that uncontrollable Fenster voice...watching him bash in skulls while quoting the bible is my best moment at the movies this year.

Had he been a woman(Though that makes my point tricky to develop),he would likely get an Oscarnomination...I doubt that will happen but his Jack Horne will get a bunch of nominations and although it isn´t saying much these days,he stole the film from Washington and the consensus is that he is best in show.

To be honest,my respect for him wasn´t THAT big for a long time...cause I had basically forgotten that this guy was Gomer Pyle or the lisping Chained-butcher...AND Pooh bear!! It IS somewhat understandable how this chameleont can make you forget or make you unable to connect the dots. Shiiii....now he´s almost on my favourite actors level,Benicio Del Toro. Both true artists.

If you ever rewatch The magnificent Seven, remember the scene I have as the start of every workday,Horne showing some sympathy before going mental on Bogues men with the line...
-"I´ll say a prayer for You.You know,a,a,a...a Little prayer." The delivery and his twitchy face...cracks me up. Dude is like what Mikkelsen made Tristan with minimal dialog in King Arthur.

Yep - had to look the credits up here to check it was him lol. That voice was indeed memorable and I have it stuck in my head now.
